Some recipes use snails, garlic, green pepper or red pepper. Paella is always made with short-grain white rice and saffron which gives it a yellow colour. Traditionally, men make paella outside over a wood fire and everyone eats directly from the pan (paellera). Paella is especially eaten on Sunday afternoons.
This paella was made for 7 people but 8 people came to the party, and still we couldn't finish it!
