Today, I was talking about euphemisms with Sachiyo. Sometimes we use a euphemism, which is a substitute word or phrase, because it sounds nicer or it is more polite. For example:
She has big bones. (She is fat.)
I had a few drinks. (I was drunk.)
It has an unusual taste. (I don't like the taste.)
He likes his food. (He eats too much.)
